I'm tired of having hundreds of watchers, and all anybody ever does is add it to their collection. Rarely do I get any comments on the shit. See, the thing is, I'm not here to showcase my talents, yeah, I know I'm a good tattoo artist, but that's not good enough, I want to become better, and it's difficult to do that when I get no suggestions. And adding the critique area, is just plain stupid. If you can't get someone to write 5 words, how're you gonna get em to write 50?
I fucking hate scratchers. HATE EM. And they are all over DA. I've worked in this industry for almost 6 years now, and I have been very passionate about every moment of it. Now, ebay is selling these tattoo kits to all these trailer trash assholes who aren't training, and have no talent on paper or canvas to begin with. If you can't draw, then you can't tattoo. Stop it. You do not practice on skin. You do not use bic pens cracked open as ink. You do not use something that can affect another person's health without any medical training. How're you going to run a straight line with a machine, when you can't even do it with a pencil? Wanna see how difficult it is? Go grab a 1lb rock, a pencil, and your moms vibrator, tape em all together and draw for an hour. Stop calling it a GUN. It's so insulting when I get on here and because I'm in a few tattoo groups all I see is hacked up tattoos.
Groups. I've joined a few, and for awhile they were fun, but now there's just no standard. Seriously, the only one that regulates who joins and who doesn't is InkSplosion, and the reason for that is b/c I created it. Nobody ever reads the group guidelines, and then they get offended when they get denied. Then it's always the same thing... "Why didn't I get accepted?" Well, it's because you're fucking horrible, and should cut off your own hands so no one ever has to be touched by you again... but being the nice guy I am, I've toned it down a bit, so now they always have some kind of retort. Like "who are you to judge me?" "Well, I've got 20 awards on my shelf for the quality tattoos I've done. I'm in a book that was put together by Mike DeVries, I'm in several magazines, and I was recently asked to give a seminar on my Synthetic Realism, the style of tattooing I created. So, who am I not to judge you?" And it's always like that.
I used to look forward to logging onto DA each day before my first client shows up, but not anymore. I almost dread it. And so, there're my reasons for considering it, but I'm still a little timid about it. I guess that's the end of my rant.
